Labyrinth seal with system
NILOS-RINGS type LSTO are non-contact, grease-filled labyrinth seals that are designed as ready-to-fit elements for the respective shaft and housing diameter. They should primarily be used when grease-lubricated bearings are exposed to unusually heavy contamination, e.g. construction machinery, agricultural machinery, woodworking machinery, conveyor rollers, etc.
These sealing elements almost fulfill the ideal conditions of a rolling bearing seal: frictional losses and bearing heating are negligible, the leakage of lubricants and the ingress of dirt are prevented.
The NILOS-RINGS type LSTO are absolutely slip-resistant both on the inner and
on the outer circumference in the axial direction against
the rolling bearing ring. The adjacent table
shows the corresponding shoulder diameters WA and WJ.
STEEL DISK SEAL LSTO
Sealing packs made of steel plates are ready to install and insensitive to axial pressures. The seal works without contact and can follow axial movements of the rolling bearing rings of up to 0.3 mm without the plates jamming.
The LSTO-RINGS are non-contact seals and can be used up to a circumferential speed of 30 m/s.

The NILOS-RING type LSTO is specially designed for bearing points that are exposed to unusually heavy contamination.
Designation:
E.g. the NILOS-RING abbreviation 30 x 55 LSTO is used to designate a ready-to-fit steel washer seal for a rolling bearing with an inner diameter of 30 mm and an outer diameter of 55 mm.
