NILOS-RING

The ideal seal for every rolling bearing.

NILOS-RING - The quality standard

Due to their simple design, low height and easy installation, NILOS-RINGS are a frequently chosen sealing option that can also be retrofitted into existing systems as a main or additional seal. A distinction is made in the standard forms between the external and internal sealing (AV and JV) NILOS-RINGS and the LSTO and LST-L labyrinth seals. The sealing function of the AV and JV designs is created by grinding the sealing edge into the inner and outer ring of the bearing. After the sealing edge has run in on the bearing ring, these seals run almost contact-free as standard. The NILOS-RINGS LSTO and LST-L are labyrinth seals, which are used for particularly heavy contamination. All designs can be customized according to customer requirements.

Family tradition since 1926

The history of NILOS goes back to 1926, when Dr. Hans Ziller founded the company at a time when the mining industry was taking its first steps towards the use of conveyor belts.  1934 Ziller develops a mechanically detachable hook connection, which is patented worldwide. This gave rise to the brand name “NILOS” – derived from the words “never” and “loose” to symbolize the durability of the connection. Since then, NILOS has developed into a globally active company with numerous business divisions.
