NILOS-RING JV
The internally sealing classic for compact bearing positions
The NILOS-RING in both the AV and JV versions is a contact seal in the standard version. A non-contacting gap seal in the µ range is only created after a certain running-in phase by grinding into the bearing ring. The standard version of the NILOS-RING types can be used up to a circumferential speed of 6 m/s.
However, this speed range is not sufficient for many applications. But even here you do not have to do without the usual reliability of the NILOS-RING as a sealing element.
If it is possible to run in below 6 m/s, the sealing edge will have ground in after some time and higher speeds can then be driven without hesitation. If running-in is not possible, NILOS-RINGS with reduced preload or minus preload are used. In this case, please specify the speed when ordering. We will then determine the appropriate preload to suit the application and speed. JV types are preferable for circumferential speeds from 15 m/s.
Type JV and ZJV for rolling bearings
The NILOS-RING AV and JV are the most commonly used designs. They can be used as a standard version up to a circumferential speed of 6 m/s; higher circumferential speeds must be specified when ordering.
For Z and RS bearings ZAV, ZJV
Bearings already fitted with shields or sealing washers are sealed using NILOS-RINGS with different dimensions so that the seal clamped in the bearing is completely encapsulated by the NILOS-RING. NILOS-RINGS are particularly necessary here if dirt can penetrate the bearing or if condensation forms.
Type JV:
If possible, the NILOS-RING that seals on the inner rolling bearing ring should be preferred in the design,
which is designated accordingly as type JV
Designation:
E.g. a NILOS-RING that seals on the inner rolling bearing ring is designated as type JV. For example, the NILOS-RING abbreviation 6410 JV is used to designate an internally sealing NILOS-RING for a single row deep groove ball bearing 6410.
Type ZJV:
Here, too, the NILOS-RING sealing on the inner rolling bearing ring should be selected for the design, which is designated accordingly as type ZJV at
.
Designation:
E.g. the NILOS-RING abbreviation 6205 ZJV is used to designate an internally sealing NILOS-RING for a single row deep groove ball bearing 6205 with shields or sealing washers.
Type JV for tapered roller bearings
The NILOS-RING JV is manufactured for the bearing sides shown in the sketch.
Type JV:
The version that seals on the inner tapered roller bearing ring is designated accordingly as type JV.
Designation:
E.g. the NILOS-RING abbreviation 302 07 JV is used to designate an internally sealing NILOS-RING for a single-row tapered roller bearing 302 07.
